Project Overview

TENS Global Systems Nigeria Limited developed a comprehensive Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Portal for Sahel Consulting Agriculture and Nutrition Ltd (Sahel) to support their Advancing Local Dairy Development in Nigeria (ALDDN) program. Launched in 2020, the portal empowers Sahel to effectively track and measure the program’s impact on empowering smallholder women dairy farmers in five Nigerian states: Kano, Kaduna, Jigawa, Adamawa, and Plateau.

Client Challenge

  • Farmer empowerment and inclusion: Number of households identified and integrated into the program. Number of farmers trained, disaggregated by gender and training modules. Number of heifers distributed to model farmers.
  • Improved dairy production and market access: Litres of milk supplied per household. Rate of milk rejection. Total quantity of milk collected (wet and dry seasons). Price paid per litre of milk collected. Number of dairy households integrated into the market system.
  • Infrastructure development: Number of solar-powered boreholes established.
  • Community engagement and health: Number of community health workers engaged.
